Africans living locally and in the diaspora face multiple challenges when sending money across borders or managing foreign currency. These include high remittance fees, unclear exchange rates, and delayed fund delivery. While many fintech apps attempt to solve this, there is still a usability and trust gap.

The initial sign-up only required name, email, and password. We iterated to include more personal information upfront so users don’t have to re-enter details later. The onboarding also reinforces brand value through splash screens.

In parallel with the mobile experience, I also designed a web-based Admin Dashboard to empower internal teams with tools for managing user activity and ensuring platform security.
To give SweeftaPay’s internal team full visibility into platform usage, user behavior, and verification workflows—essential for scaling operations and maintaining compliance.

SweeftaPay delivers a holistic cross-border financial experience through thoughtful UX, modern design systems, and user-driven flows. It bridges the gap in cross-currency money movement while standing out visually and functionally in the African fintech ecosystem. The inclusion of a powerful admin interface ensures scalability and operational excellence as the product grows.
